Store Counter Backdrops - Etnies

The following two pieces were designed as large format prints to be displayed behind the counter of Brighton's foremost skate clothing shop to celebrate Etnies' 20th year producing footwear and apparel.

I jumped at the chance to fill this commission as I'm probably the world's biggest Etnies fan and have (unofficially) the largest collection of thier t-shirts. They just fit so well!

Concept 1 - Etnies pride themselves on their use of natural materials and good corporate ethics. The tree signifies these ethics, while the faded spray paint effect logos hint at the anti-social and anarchic public perception of skating.

Concept 2 - As the backdrops were commissioned to celebrate 20 years, I used tree rings to suggest age and integrity of the brand.
